Feast of Fears

Lightning falls

   from the sky

   glance the water

   another day to die

   bringing down

   the feathers that fly

   fire brings

   another question why

Bloody pools

   mixed with dry tears

   wars been brewing

   for hundreds of years

   hounds of hell

   feast of fears

   screaming falls

   to deaf ears

Gods unclothed

   before the dead

   fire and lightning

   now are wed

   feast in famine

   blood seeps red

   unclean swirling

   within my head

Tired eyes

   blind from ice

   heavy head

   on a bed of lice

   at weddings throw

   the poison rice

   the phoenix burns

   in azure skies

Torture foul

   to ones own soul

   fortune brings

   a heavy toll

   clouds that form

   within the skull

   in the sky

   the thunder rolls
